Heppner Unit Public Land

This hunt takes place in the Heppner GMU in eastern Oregon. The Heppner unit is the most applied for unit in the state and is a tough unit to draw a tag in as a non-resident. The hunt we are offering is only available to non-Oregon residents. The hunter will be issued an outfitter tag for this hunt. The terrain in the area is fairly flat and easy to hunt with a mix of pine forests and meadows. We use 4×4 vehicles to get around and we do a fair amount of walking. This hunt is fully outfitted with 2 hunters per 1 guide. Lodging is in heated canvas wall tents with good hot meals prepared by our full time cook and camp host. For this hunt I have included the license and tag fee in the final cost of the hunt. I have 4 hunts available.

Trophy bull Elk Muzzleloader Hunt

This hunt takes place on public lands only in the Heppner GMU. There are only about 27 total tags which will be issued and only 1 goes to a non-resident (final tag distribution numbers will be set by ODFW at a later date). The hunt dates for 2016 are Oct.15th -23rd, this is a 9 day season. This will be a 1×1 guided hunt with food/lodging included. If you draw this tag in 2016 and want it guided please contact us. There are generally only 27-20 tags issued for this hunt each year. Broken Horn Outfitters will most likely be issued this permit for 2017. Below is a picture of the bull Frank harvested during the 2015 season, it was 1 of many bulls Frank had a chance to take.
